PartyBox Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

PartyBox is a mobile party-game application published by SHA Platforms, Berlin, Germany (“SHA Platforms,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you download, access, or use PartyBox.

2. Information Handled by PartyBox

PartyBox does not require an account and does not use Firebase, a SHA Platforms server, or a paid external API.

We do not ask you to provide your:

  • Real name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Precise location
  • Contacts
  • Photos or videos
  • Microphone recordings
  • Camera information
  • Financial information
  • Account credentials

Player nicknames, game selections, and preferences such as Sound, Vibration, and Kids Safe Mode are stored locally on your device.

SHA Platforms does not receive this locally stored information. We recommend using nicknames and not entering sensitive personal information as player names.

3. Offline Gameplay

PartyBox contains built-in questions, words, and challenges and can be used for gameplay without an internet connection.

An internet connection may be required to:

  • Load advertisements
  • Display or update advertising-consent forms
  • Access external privacy-related links

4. Advertising and Google AdMob

PartyBox uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK, also known as Google AdMob, to display banner and interstitial advertisements.

PartyBox does not use App Open Ads. Interstitial advertisements are intended to appear only at a natural transition when a user leaves a game using the Back button.

Depending on your device, location, consent choices, and Google settings, Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect, process, or share information such as:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
  • Device identifiers and advertising identifiers
  • App launches, taps, ad views, video views, and other product interactions
  • Diagnostic and performance information, including app launch time, crashes, hangs, and energy usage
  • Advertising information and consent choices

This information may be used for:

  • Advertising and ad delivery
  • Ad personalization where permitted
  • Analytics and measurement
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security and compliance

5. Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices

Where required, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, PartyBox uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and record advertising-consent choices.

Advertising requests are made only after the consent system reports that advertisements may be requested.

Users can review or change available advertising choices through:

You may also manage advertising controls through your device settings or Google My Ad Center:

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

6. Legal Bases and Purposes

Local information is processed on your device to provide the game features you request and to remember your preferences.

Where applicable, advertising-related information may be processed based on:

  • Your consent
  • Legitimate interests in delivering and measuring advertisements
  • Fraud prevention and security
  • Compliance with legal obligations

The applicable legal basis may depend on your country, consent choices, and the advertising provider involved.

7. Sharing of Information

SHA Platforms does not receive, sell, or share player nicknames or preferences stored locally by PartyBox.

Advertising-related information may be collected or shared by Google and its advertising partners as described in this Privacy Policy and their own policies.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, a valid legal request, or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, and security.

8. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Player nicknames and settings remain locally on your device until you:

  • Edit or remove the player information
  • Clear PartyBox app data
  • Uninstall PartyBox

Because PartyBox does not have a user account or SHA Platforms server, SHA Platforms cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your device.

Google and its advertising partners determine their own retention periods according to their respective policies.

9. International Data Transfers

Google and its service providers may process advertising-related information in countries outside your country of residence.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information, including:

  • The right to receive information
  • The right of access
  • The right to correction
  • The right to deletion
  • The right to restriction
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to object
  • The right to withdraw consent
  • The right to complain to a data-protection authority

11. Children

PartyBox is a general-audience party game and is not directed specifically to children under the age of 13.

The optional Kids Safe Mode limits built-in prompts to a gentler, family-friendly content set. Kids Safe Mode does not ask for a child’s age or other personal information.

Children should use PartyBox only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

Do not enter a child’s real name or sensitive personal information as a player name.

12. Device Permissions

PartyBox may use the device’s vibration functionality to provide gameplay feedback when Vibration is enabled.

PartyBox does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, precise location, or files for normal gameplay.

Internet access is used for advertising, consent services, and related functionality.

13. Security

PartyBox minimizes information collection by keeping game information and preferences locally and by not requiring an account.

Advertising-related information transmitted by Google is subject to Google’s security practices. No electronic system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Third-Party Links and Advertisements

Advertisements displayed in PartyBox may link to third-party websites, applications, products, or services.

SHA Platforms does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security, or availability of third-party services. Review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party service before using it.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PartyBox, advertising services, legal requirements, or our practices change.

The updated Privacy Policy will be made available in PartyBox and/or on the SHA Platforms website with a revised “Last updated” date.
